Are You Ready to Get Started with Awesome Kids Therapy?

We can’t wait to meet you! Please see below for some helpful FAQs.

  • Speech therapy (speech-language pathology) is a scientific helping profession. Speech therapists, also known as speech-language pathologists or SLPs help their clients by using the most effective and research-backed techniques to improve their ability to understand and use language (i.e., how to talk). SLPs must complete annual continuing education to maintain their license, ensuring they are using the highest quality techniques with their clients.

  • Did you know a speech therapist can help your child learn how to...

    -Babble or make sounds

-Use gestures or signs to communicate their wants and needs

-Imitate or copy your actions during play

-Improve their ability to be understood

-Improve their vocabulary through play and reading

If you have questions about communication milestones or believe your child might need speech therapy, get started today to schedule a complementary 15-minute phone consultation.

  • Yes! All clients must be evaluated prior to receiving therapeutic services. Evaluations consist of caregiver interviews, clinical observations and qualitative assessment tools. A written report will be provided to you no later than 10 business days. If you have a previous evalutation report from the last 6 months, we will happily accept this and get you on the schedule.

  • Awesome Kids Therapy Group believes in individualized and high quality services; as a result, we are a private pay organization. We are considered out of network with all insurance companies.

With private pay, we are able to be flexible to accommodate you and your family. This helps to ensure the best care possible as we are not limited by the parameters of insurance, which limits length, frequency and duration of services. A prescription from the pediatrician is not required.

A superbill may be provided upon request for families seeking reimbursement directly from their own insurance plans. It is the caregiver's responsibility to understand their coverage and benefits. Refunds will not be provided.

  • Payment is required at the time of service or may be paid in advance. A credit card will be required to be kept on file.

We accept cash, debit/credit card or HSA card.

  • If you are a caregiver with general questions about your child's communication development (and you are not a client of Awesome Kids Therapy), a phone or video consultation is a service available to you!

If you another speech-language pathologist (SLP), occupational therapist (OT), physical therapist (PT), or an infant-toddler developmental specialist (ITDS), and would like to collaborate about a shared client, we'd love to set up a time to chat!

Collaboration with other therapists and specialists is such a crucial part to making gains in a child's communication abilities.
